Over the years, we’ve established a few local Vassar wedding venues that are our absolute favorites to design and decorate, and I’m sharing them with you today! Here is the list of our favorite Vassar wedding venues, in no particular order:
The Frankenmuth Brewery – Frankenmuth, MI
The floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Cass River paired with wood accents & polished cement floors are to die for. Their fresh cuisine paired with their award-winning lineup of craft beer and wine is sure to please every one of your guests! This is definitely a venue to check out, especially for the urban-loving couple!
Odin’s Owl – Millington, MI
With magical handcrafted timber framing and 30-foot cathedral ceilings, the details of this handcrafted barn are unmatched. Or you can choose to have a forest ceremony in the 80 private acres of mature woods and ponds. If your style is romantic, boho, country, or natural, you have to check out Odin’s Owl.
The Oakley – Holly, MI
If you’re looking for something secluded and high-end, look no further! A heavenly estate property combined with large trees, endless green grass, and high-end finishes in the ballroom, this is a venue you won’t want to miss! With an outdoor ceremony location & option to rent the on-site house for your wedding party, you’re sure to love this venue.
My Sister’s Barn – Fairgrove, MI
What used to be an old horse barn is now transformed into a gorgeous venue with high-end touches mixed with the character from its older years. My Sister’s Barn prepares & cooks their own food that only has amazing reviews! For the rustic-loving, country bride!
The Venue at 501 – Clare, MI
Built in 1901, The Venue at 501 boasts its original brick walls & hardwood floors and provides the perfect setting for the distinguished couple looking for something unique. This one-of-a-kind location is full of industrial and warm wood details, and we’re in love! Plus, the upstairs of the venue doubles as an Airbnb for your wedding night!

This list wouldn’t be complete without including our very own Shades of Teal intimate event space! We are so proud of our beautiful downtown space, boasting original light-colored brick walls, hardwood floors, and large windows. It is the perfect setting for your intimate event of 50 people or less! It’s a great fit for the romantic, chic couple wanting to spend a perfect evening with their closest family and friends.
